Medplast Continues to Upgrade Facilities ; Attains ISO 13485 Certification at Westfield, PA Facility

(Tempe AZ-May 15, 2009) MedPlast has recently achieved ISO 13485 certification at its Westfield, Pennsylvania facility. This completes ISO 13485 certification at all five MedPlast locations nationwide and strengthens MedPlast's position as a premier thermoplastic and elastomer medical molder.
As a contract manufacturer of hundreds of millions healthcare-related parts annually, 13485 certification is key to its continued success. Last year, several facilities underwent clean room and tool shop expansion. As part of these upgrades, the Westfield, PA facility added on a 45,000 square foot clean room that houses class 10,000 and class 100,000 molding and assembly operations.
